2022 Annual Equity Conference

Dear Conference Participant,

On behalf of the National Coalition on Education Equity (NCOEE), CAAASA, The Indiana Council on Educating Black Children, WestEd and the National Council on Educating Black Children, I want to take moment to extend our sincerest appreciation for your attendance at

the first National Equity Conference. Your presence and participation were an important part of the shared professional learning, and integral to our collective success.

The conference was a tremendous success as a result of dedicated and diverse participants like yourself that are committed to ensuring that all children receive the educational resources, services, and supports in an equitable manner, resulting in academic, education, and life success. It is our hope that as an attendee, you gained invaluable information and professional development from the host of presenters and speakers who addressed critical topics such as the digital divide, anti-racist programs, health and wellness, funding, and accountability, amongst other important topics. We trust that you will take your new knowledge to be innovative and creative in meeting the challenges of achieving education equity.

Once again, thank you for your part in the success of the conference. We look forward to future collaboration and mutual support with you.

In appreciation,

Michele Bowers, Ed.D.

President, California Association of African American Superintendents and Administrators

Chair, National Coalition on Education Equity

Former Superintendent, Lancaster Unified School District
